Police Chief

Chief Stan Mosley started his career in law enforcement at the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office in 1988.  He started out in the jail as a Detention Officer. From there he went to the Uniformed Patrol Division as a Deputy Sheriff and was later promoted to Sergeant over Uniformed Patrol.  He held the position as sergeant until he left the Sheriff’s Office in 1998 to begin his duties as Chief of Police for the City of Summerville.

Captain

Captain Harold Tucker started working at the Summerville Police Department in 1988. He started out dispatching for the officers.  He then went to Uniformed Patrol Division where he served as a patrol officer and over time was promoted to Sergeant and then Lieutenant before he was promoted to the Captain position.  He works directly under Chief Mosley. Captain Tucker takes care of the day to day operations in the Chief’s absence.
