About Our Natural Gas

The City of Summerville provides natural gas service to residents of Summerville, GA and portions of Northern Floyd County. The City of Summerville has over 1 million feet of gas main not including the service lines that run from the main line to the customer's home or business.  This gas distribution network allows us to provide service to over 4500+ customers including homes, schools, businesses, and industries.

The City of Summerville Gas Department is responsible for the service and maintenance of the City's distribution network. The Gas Department must adhere to strict guidelines handed down by the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC), and is inspected by the PSC a minimum of once per year.
