The Fifth Annual Sequoyah Quilt Show Set For Saturday, October 13
The fifth annual Sequoyah Quilt Show is scheduled for Saturday, October 13 during the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The show will be inside the Historic Summerville Depot, located at 119 East Washington Street in downtown Summerville. Quilts of all ages, colors, patterns, and designs will be on display, along with live demonstrations. Last year’s show grew by leaps and bounds and will include new additions to grow yet again in 2018.
The show will feature a wide variety of modern, antique, and rare quilt. Those looking to purchase quilts or quilting products may also find something at this event. Representatives of Vector Quilts, out of Cumming Georgia, will be on site with foundation/paper piecing and quilt patterns. They will also display the famous Malachite quilt.
The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum’s passenger train is expected to arrive around 12:45 p.m. Train enthusiast will enjoy the turning of the antique steam engine on Summerville’s turntable. The Chattooga County Camp 507 Sons of Confederate Veterans will also be on hand to tempt your taste buds with some great BBQ. Persons interested in exhibiting or selling quilt products at this show may contact Summerville Main Street. Admission is free to the public. The Sequoyah Quilt Show is the second event of the “Steam Into Summerville Railroad Days”, which runs through November 11.
